Sorry about the flaky WiFi hotspot on Tuesday 2010-08-24 - the result of some inadequately tested maintenance updates by me.

It's all working fine now Smiley.

I've moved the forum back to http://www.wvcc.org.uk/smf/. The forum links on the website have been amended to suit.

I posted too soon back in December. Since then, we've been plagued with error messages for no obvious reasons. Sometimes it worked, sometimes not.

After 6 months of problems, I think I've now fixed it Smiley.

Well actually, I managed to completely replace it without erasing the original database of postings - more a matter of courage than skill.

Please visit it at http://www.wvcc.org.uk/smf2/ (new address) http://www.wvcc.org.uk/smf/. If you get a flood of error messages as often happened previously, please let me know.

Incidentally, there's a forum software upgrade available but I'll wait a coupla weeks before doing that.

Not by me, I hasten to add, but by The Register. I haven't heard of some of these programs but all look both sensible and interesting.

We were hijacked - goodness knows how. Sorry for the hiatus Fortunately, I'm a strong believer in backups - as you know.

Just to say thanks to the ladies who lunch for organising such a pleasant evening. The ambience and food were good and the company was even better Smiley.

Following Ian's excellent suggestion last night, I've just ordered a cable to connect a tutor's laptop sound output to the Village Hall's PA equipment. (<£5 Smiley)
